SAN ANTONIO—The Boise State women’s swimming and diving team put itself in prime position to score big points on day three of the Western Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships, Friday, at Palo Alto Natatorium. The Broncos qualified 15 swimmers for championship finals in the five individual events to take place Friday night.

Boise State will account for half the championship field in the 100-yard butterfly and 400-yard individual medley. The Broncos dominated the preliminary rounds of the 100 butterfly, qualifying four of the top seven swimmers, including the top three. Junior Amber Boucher clocked a school-record 52.46 to take the top spot.

The Broncos qualified three swimmers in the 100-yard breaststroke, and two each in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard backstroke.

School records also fell in the breaststroke and backstroke events.

Five more Boise State swimmers will have chances to score points for the Broncos in the conoslation finals.
