BACC Economic Outlook Forum Dec. 10th

South Coast residents have the opportunity to hear from renowned economists about local, state and national economic conditions as well as from local leaders about projects of importance to the local economy at the 18th Annual Economic Outlook Forum scheduled for Friday, December 10, at The Mill Casino-Hotel.   The 6:45 to 10:30 am breakfast conference is presented by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Southwestern Oregon Community College Business Development Center, and U.S. Bank, in cooperation with 28 sponsoring businesses and organizations.  The conference features John Mitchell, former US Bank Chief Economist, who will provide a keynote address on the state, regional and national economic outlook.  Guy Tauer, Labor Economist with the Oregon Employment Department, will present an overview of the Coos County and Coos Bay Area economy.   Updates on projects that affect the community will include the Bay Area Hospital—Paul Janke, CEO, SCDC—Sandra Geiser-Messerle, Executive Director and The future of the Timber industry with Allyn Ford, CEO, Roseburg Forest Products Company.  Also highlighted will be South Coast businesses: the Pancake Mill & the Electric Hospital.  Space is limited.  Forum ticket prices remain the same as last year.
