North Oregon Coast Fire Chief Injured, April 26

A North Oregon Coast fire chief and his wife were seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on Hwy. 101, Sunday, April 22.  Rockaway Beach Fire Chief Barry Mammano and his wife Judy were southbound on the coastal route when a vehicle turned in front of them.  The motorcycle hit the car, driven by an 82-year old female, on the right driver's side.  The couple were transferred to Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland in serious condition.  The 72-year old Mammano has been with the fire department since he was 16-years old.
